Seymour Harris were commissioned in 2008 to develop designs to GRIP Stage 3 to improve facilities and other benefits at a number of Railway Stations.
The scope of the National Station Improvement Programme (NSIP) is designed to enhance passenger facilities at approximately 150 medium sized stations across routes in England and Wales. The primary objective of the programme is to make a noticeable and lasting improvement to the passenger traveling experience, the facilities and environment at selected stations. Designs were inclusive of measures to increase passenger perception of security, to improve access and egress for all, to enhance the overall presentation of the station and to provide better information services.
Berkhamstead, Milton Keynes, Tamworth, Telford, University & Watford Stations were further developed through GRIP stages 4-8.
