Chorley Community Fire Station
Lancashire Fire Authority

Chorley Community Fire Station, built for Lancashire Fire Authority has a 3 bay appliance garage and community facilities and was built as part of the North West Fire and Rescue Service PFI, a project delivering sixteen new community fire stations across nine Local Authorities, involving three separate Fire Services: Lancashire, Cumbria and Merseyside. This was the biggest project of its type in the country.

The building is situated on the Washington Hall Training site for the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

The palette of materials, consistent and unifying across the stations is black and white brickwork set as a backdrop to vibrant red steel cladding and black steel to the appliance bays.
