Pupil Inclusion and Family Centre.
Split between floors, the ground floor of the new building will be dedicated to inclusion services, including working with students who need additional help with literacy and numeracy; supporting vulnerable students with short or long-term interventions, for example with a school nurse or counselor; and providing a facility for students on personalised timetables where the main school curriculum is not best suited to their individual needs. The aim of the Centre is to ensure that all students have the best possible chance of achieving their potential by helping them to work through any barriers or problems that they may be experiencing.
The top floor of the Centre will be dedicated to community use, including group rooms, cafe, and ICT spaces. It is intended that adult education services and local youth groups will be encouraged to use the Centre.
