Greenford High School is a foundation school, which has over 1600 students on roll, in addition they have a very large Sixth Form offering a wide variety of courses with over 580 students. The former school buildings were demolished to provide up to date sports facilities which has also been used by the community. The land of the former main building along Ruislip Road is left vacant and is the proposed site for the expansion development.
Our proposals explore different ways to provide learning spaces to accommodate up to 2FE expansion in the future as well as Additional Resource Provisions for 15-20 students. In result of rigorous analysis of the site and its surroundings, SHA began testing the relationship between the existing school and proposed new build. The final design options suggest a much needed presence along Ruislip South, which improve schools visibility in the community and engagement with the school.
