The practice worked with developer Albion Land to master plan the development at Network 9, Bicester and as a first phase designed and constructed the new factory for Brita to manufacture and distribute their famous water filters.
The practice worked closely with Brita in designing the building to accommodate their production facility and local headquarters. The building has a gross floor area of 62,000 ft2 with a production
area of 47,000 ft2 and two storey office accommodation of 15,000ft2. It is of steel portal frame construction with a combination of built up and composite steel roofing and cladding.
Loading is via 4 loading docks with dock levelers and 1 level access door. The difficult shaped site has been used to advantage to maximum car and lorry separation and to provide excellent on site services vehicle circulation.
